Project Creators
Victoria Rasbridge is a PhD student at University College London funded by the London Arts and Humanities Research Partnership (AHRC). Having completed her BA in French and Spanish and MSt in Spanish at Oxford University, Victoria joined University College London in 2019. Her research explores early modern Spanish theatre and has a particular emphasis on questions of gender, identity, and power. She is similarly interested in theories of performance, embodiment, and practise-based learning.
Alongside her doctoral research, Victoria works as a tutor and lecturer at University College London (UCL) and King's College London teaching courses in history, Spanish literature and culture, and drama for both undergraduate and master's students.
Victoria also works at the National Theatre Archives (UK) on numerous school outreach projects including projects on theatre in translation. She is also a Diversity Ambassador for the London Arts and Humanities Research Partnership, aiming to promote and support diversity, inclusion, and equality amongst students, and acts as a mentor at UCL to support students at all stages in their studies.
Victoria is also a member of the Diversifying the Classics translation group which works collaboratively to translate Spanish theatre into English and is on the jury for the 2023 Our New Gold digital storytelling festival.
Paula Rodríguez is an international award-winning theatre-maker. She graduated from RESAD (Madrid), holds a Theatre MA from Universidad Complutense (Madrid) and a second Acting MA from RCSSD (London). She is also a writer, translator, producer and actor for TV, Film and Theatre.
Paula has worked at the Bridge Theatre, the Young Vic, Orange Tree Theatre, Cervantes Theatre and Chichester Festival in the U.K. and at numerous organisations throughout Spain and beyond, including the Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico, the Corral de Comedias Alcalá de Henares, and Almagro International Classical Theatre Festival.
Paula is a member of Flute Theatre who present critically acclaimed productions of Shakespeare and is renowned for its innovative projects for autistic individuals and those displaced by war.
In 2015 Paula co-founded Teatro Inverso, a company that reinvents Spanish Golden Age Theatre for global audiences. Their show, ROSAURA, toured internationally and was awarded best production 2021 by the Association of Hispanic Classical Theatre (US). Her most recent projects include The Other Solos Shakespeare, a video art series celebrating migrants and AURIC, fusing classical poetry and contemporary music to reflect on sociopolitical matters. She is also the creator and artistic director of Our New Gold digital storytelling festival.

Expert gender-based violence Consultant
Luisa is a Colombian clinical psychologist who has worked in clinical settings in Colombia, the USA, and the UK with people from diverse backgrounds. Her clinical work focuses primarily on war trauma and gender-based violence. She currently works at a refuge with survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence from Latin American and other ethnic minorities. Her clinical work is informed by psychoanalytic approaches and uses intersectional, community, and decolonial feminism as essential cornerstones of her practice. Luisa is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Multicultural and Interdisciplinary Inquiry – Health Humanities Centre at University College London.
Performer
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Regina began her acting career at 18 when she moved to the UK to train at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. After touring as an actress, she relocated to London, UK to continue her work, where she simultaneously launched her career as a producer. Her first theatre show as a writer, performer and producer “What she says” premiered at the Battersea Arts Centre. Regina wrote, starred in and produced “The Flying Seagull Spectacular” that premiered in the Stretham Space Project. She recently starred in "The Sewing box" winner of FesteLon off 2023.
Costume & Set designer
With a degree in Fine Arts and a second degree in Scenography, RESAD, Monica works as a set and costume designer. In theatre and opera, she regularly collaborates with directors such as Helena Pimenta, Gerardo Vera, Antonio Castro Guijosa, María Folguera, Emilio López and Juanma Cifuentes. She has been a finalist on two occasions for the Joseph Gaudí Award for Scenography 2018 and 2019 by the Association of Stage Directors, and a candidate for the Max Awards for her costume design work in Calderón's "Life is a Dream”.
Senior Consultant Director
Juan is a director, dramaturg, performer, and designer based between London and Madrid. He originally trained as an architect before attending the Jacques Lecoq School in Paris and the London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA). His work deftly combines abstraction with complex narrative to create poetic and politically charged work. Specialising in devised works and adaptations, his work responds with sensitivity and risk-taking. Over the last 20 years he has been working with companies from across Europe, including Teatro Español, Matadero and Teatro de la Abadía in Madrid, MAC Birmingham, BAC, Greenwich Dance and Jerwood Space in London.
Script Consultant
Sergio is an award-winning playwright, screenwriter, director, and dramaturg. Holding a degree in Stage Direction and Playwriting from the School of Dramatic Art in Malaga and having trained with renowned figures such as Rodrigo García, Christopher Volger and Patrice Pavis, Sergio has written for theatre, film, and television. As a scriptwriter, Sergio has worked on series for Canal Sur, FDF, and TVE1 and his feature-length films are available on Amazon Prime. Much of his theatrical work has been staged and published, with numerous texts translated into different languages. Sergio was awarded the Romero Esteo Prize for the best young Andalusian text (2001). Rafael Guerrero Minimum Theater Contest (2001) Injuve prize (2009), first prize at the Ciudad Rodrigo International Festival (2010) and the Ateneo de Málaga Prize (2019).
Composer
Arthur Astier is a French composer and musician. He explores different styles of expression such as performance installations, theatre, immersive performance, and film. He has worked alongside international artists such as Peter Brook, Christian Boltanski and Frank Krawczyk. He was part of Brook’s production of 'The Suit', which premiered at The Young Vic and then toured internationally. Arthur has composed music for The Singapore Repertory Theatre and he is the composer of the project Digital Umbilical, winner of the Dansathon (2018) at Sadler’s Wells.
Senior Consultant Producer
Lorenzo is a French-Italian freelance performing arts curator & producer based in Madrid. Since 2014 he has collaborated with different international arts institutions in order to foster the interchange of Spanish and European artists and to draft the programming of international festivals and multidisciplinary artistic seasons. Recent collaborations include the curation of the Paris-Madrid Tandem with both City Councils and the programming and coordination of the Spanish Focus in Tbilisi (Georgia) as part of the 22nd edition of the GIFT FESTIVAL. In addition to this, Lornezo also organizes touring and partnerships with Festivals and Universities across Europe, the United States and several Latin American countries such as Uruguay, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina.
